B rian and Lauretta Eades don't often team up across the bridge table but \yhen they do they're a winning combination and this was evident on Wednesday night when they top- scored North/South with 152 points, out of a possible 240. Even handicapping wasn't going to rob them of first place and they finished on 61.52(63.33). Second place went to Mark Hays and George Drayton, up from fifth, on 5 1 .79% and in third place were Elaine Goldfinch and Glenda Whale with 49.28% after promotion from sixth place. Rita Kaiwhare and Brien Barlev combined to take first place East/West with the evening's highest overall score, which was 154 points out of 240, giving them62.67%(64.17). Doug and Tephany Bennett played consistent bridge to finish second on 58.91%(54 58) with Gordon and Jenny Mottram taking third place with 52.39%(49.17).
