Results of 28 July: The women had a field of eight for the qualifying round. Pat Mcllroy with nett 73 won the meat pack followed by
Carol Leary with nett 74 and Goldie Fraser nett 76. The mens field of 20 played an Irish stableford round with the winners being Steve Gray and Terry Geraghty with 8 1 , Pat Goldfinch and Merv Steel with 67 took seeond, Dwayne Marsh and Mike Fraser third with 65 and Neil Black and Ray Brown 65 finishing fourth. The day's sponsor was Turoa Lodge. Unfortunately Pania was not there to collect her lucky number draw. Results of 4 August: third round of qualifying for club ehamps saw a men's field of 24, not bad considering the presidents trophy team were away. Terry Geraghty on nett 72 won the seniors
followed by Andrew Murdie, also on nett 72, and Trev Frederick on nett 74. In the juniors Simon Barlow nett 65 scooped the pool followed by Jason Whale nett 7 1 and Graham Clarke on nett 72. The women fielded nine players with Nancy Winter with 39 points leading the field, Faith Wise with 37 and Pat Mcllroy with 35 taking the honours. The roarers mug went to Simon and the lucky number to A Com wall was not collected. Sponsor for the day was Prices Pharmacy. A reminder that the Mason Cup against Taumarunui at Taumarunui is next Sunday. Players are asked to let the club know who want to go for transport arrangements.
