Award for Raetihi store
Raetihi' s One Stop Store has received a Gold Achievement Award for their Country Fried Chicken franchise after only 8 months of operation. Owners of the store, Cornelia and Woods Koo, are thrilled at how well the chicken has been received by the locals. "We have people from Ohakune coming to Raetihi just to get chicken" says Cornelia. Remarkably their store is the second largest, in terms of retail chicken saies in the country, and they are only the third business to recei ve a Gold Award (the com-
pany also has Silver and Bronze awards for different' levels of achievement). "The award is just as much for the stores customers as it is for Cornelia and Woods" said John Neal of - Country Fried Chicken, "We're amazed at just how well they have done". Country Fried Chicken are almost ready to introduce complimentary foods, such as battered potatoes and mushrooms coated in their special blend of seasonings, to their menu. Gourmet Chicken Burgers will also soon appear. For those yet to be con-
verted to the new chicken, the Country Fried way is to coat the chicken in their special crunchy seasonings and fry it in 100% cholesterol free oil. The result is a
uniquely flavoured chicken which is non greasy. An Australian company, Country Fried Chicken has been in New Zealand for just under 12 months and
already have a large following and 123 outlets. They also have franchise outlets in some 21 countries around the world, including the Middle East.
