Refuse Disposal Change In Landfill Op«ning Hours From Monday 22 July 1 996 until further notice the hours of opening at Ohakune Landfill will be as follows: From 22 July 1996 to 30 September: Monday to Sunday — 9.00 am to 5.30 pm. From 1 October to 30 June: Sunday to Friday — 12 noon to 5.30 pm, extending to 6.00 pm during daylight saving. Saturday — 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, extending to 6.00 pm during daylight saving. Closed Christmas Day. From Monday 22 July the hours of opening at Raetihi Landfill will be as follows: Monday to Friday — 12 noon to 5.30 pm, extending to 6.00 pm during daylight saving. Saturday and Sunday — 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, extending to 6.00 pm during daylight saving. Closed Christmas Day. Schedule of Trade Refuse Charges The refuse charges do not appiy to normal domestic refuse. Trade refuse includes any scrap or waste material resulting from the carrying on of any business, manufacture, process, trade, market or other undertaking. The charges will apply from Monday 22 July 1996. The compacted refuse rate applies to refuse compacted by mechanical means. Thursday Kerbside Refuse Collection The Thursday kerbside collection of refuse in Raetihi and Ohakune will cease at the end of September 1996. Monday Kerbside Refuse Collection The Monday kerbside refuse collection will continue to operate. Refuse contained in up to five official refuse bags may be put out on the kerb for removal. Proposal to Close Road to Vehicular Traffic Pursuant to the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is hereby given that for the purpose of the local businesses in Ohakune holding a Mardi Gras, Thames Street, between Mangawhero Terrace and Rimu Street, Ohakune will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic on Saturday 27 July 1996, between the hours of 4.00 pm and 12 midnight. During the period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the street: Detours available via Mangawhero Terrace, Tyne Street, Rimu Street, and Miro Street. Special Hearings Committee Meeting A meeting of the Special Hearings Committee to consider the proposed closure of Kokako Road is to be held in the Council Chambers, Huia Street, Taumarunui on Thursday, 25 July 1996 commencing at 10.00 am.
