The mardi-gras does not have a fixed timetable so organisers advise that the following times are only approximate and may change on the night. 4.00pm: Mardi Gras starts 4.30 Celebrity races. 4-4. 30pm Lollie Scramble 5.00 Turoa Tumblers 5-5.55pm Spot Prize draws 5.55 Carrot sacrifice 6pm Band starts playing 6.40 Spot prizes given away by celebrities 7.00 Human Volcano 7.20 Band plays 7.30 Mardi Gras ticket saies close 7.30 Main prize draw starts. 8.15 Japanese drummers 8.40-9.30 Band plays 9.30 Fireworks.
