"New broom" cleans Waimarino carpets
Waimarino has a new carpet cleaning service provider following the handing over of the business from Phillip and Kerry Parkes to Chris Jackson recently. Chris has taken on the carpet and upholstery cleaning service as well as chimney cleaning and pest eradication. Phillip & Kerry decided to make the move after taking over the rural delivery service from Eileen Rush. They keep their commercial cleaning work, with existing contracts continuing as well as offering the service to new clients. The carpet cleaning service goes back a long way in providing locals with care fdr their flooring — Kerry and Phillip bought the business six years ago off Robyn and
Julie Pearson. They hand over the service that is used regularly by a wide range of people. Chris takes on a steam extraction process which aims to take out the grit and grime from carpets. "It' s the grit in carpet that wears it out, so by regular cleaning you should extend the life of your carpets," said Phillip, in contrast to the sometimes-held view that cleaning shortens the life of carpets. The pest eradication service targets spiders, flies and fleas and the treatment is effective and popular, especially in summer for flies. Spiders are a particular nuisance in the Waimarino and so this service is worth looking into.
