Ashen ill-repute
Raetihi correspondent Ziggy Bauer' s tongue-in-cheek suggestion (see Letters, Ruapehu Bulletin 9 July) that Ohakune promote a "dirty weekend" image drew a negati ve response from an anonymous note- writer who stated that "such an outrageous suggestion could make Ohakune a town of ill-repute". Curiously, the party offended by the letter, as well as being too shy to sign the note, also sent it to a completely different newspaper — the Wanganui Chronicle.
