Monday 1 3 May saw a good turnout for a doubles night, the winners being Fatty Hiroti and Bud Abbott after a play-off with Lou Most and Brian Davis, who were the runners up. The high start of the evening went to Kaylene Crossan with 125. High score was Lou with 140, after a play-off with Dave, Bud, Brian and Stephen. Lou got the high finish of 72, which could have gone to Stephanie Rapana, if she put in her money. Her scOre was 87. Monday 20 May saw 15 players turn up and a singles night played. Good competition as always amongst the men players with some good scores. The winner was Arvell Wallace, withbrother Steve as runner-up. High start of the evening went to Greg Windle with 1 35. 180. Stephen won the high finish of 99. Sunday, Waimarino travelled to PioPio to challenge for the Bowater Cup and achieved a pleasing result: South Waikato, 96; Te Kuiti, 91; Waimarino, 78; Taumarunui, 70; andTe Awamutu, 50.
