Wish list submissions may be revisited

At their May meeting in Taumarunui Ruapehu District councillors John Compton and Bob Peck were successful in requesting Council reconsider 'Wish List' submissions which had been prioritised and presented to council by community boards but rejected on the basis of expenditure. of the Waimarino Ward Rate were: realignment and re-sealing on Ruatiti Road (priced at $50,000); Sealing of the west end of Kaka St ($20,000); promotional flags ($2000); Willow Lane

storm- water ($8000); new bridge and maintenance ($60,000). National Park Ward projects rejected included: road safety project ($4000); road culverts ($3.50,000);

Work on Millar Street ($123,000); Carroll St ($25,000); Kerb and Channel ($12,000); signs/trees ($5000) ; tennis courts/grass verges ($6500); reserve/ playground lease ($1712);

Storm-water drains ($4500); transfer station ($15,000); Carroll St lighting ($3000); road works on Omatane Road ($30,000), Lileys Bluff ($50,000), Oio Turn to Page 2
