HOT1CSS Waiouru Basketball Club Open Day Tournament 27 May1996 Location: Waiouru Military Camp Gymnasium Tournament: Three-on-three Mens and Womens Open Day Tournament Timings: All teams wishing to play are requested to be at the Gym by 5. 1 5pm to register their team. The first game commences at 5.30pm, with each team getting plenty of games. Cost: There is no entry costs involved, just your participation. Waiouru Basketball Club Winter Competition: The competition is scheduled to commence on Monday 10 June 1996. The entry fee for the winter competition is $100. The competition is scheduled to run from 10 June 1996 until September 1996. RDC Holdings Ltd Company Directors Ruapehu District Council has recently formed a holding company, RDC Holdings Ltd, to oversee the operations of its companies, Ruapehu Construction Ltd and Ruapehu Quarries Ltd. There will be four Directors on the board of RDC Holdings Ltd. Ruapehu Construction Ltd is a Council owned Trading Enterprise which has been successf ully operating forthree years, with an annual turnover in excess of $6 million. Council has recently purchased a quarry which will be operated by Ruapehu Quarries Ltd. Council is looking to appoint two Directors to the Board of RDC Holdings Ltd. It is essential that appticants have some experience at Director level. Special Order Holding Company Establishment Loan 1996 $3,000,000 Public notice is hereby given that at its meeting held on 29 March 1996 the Council resolved by way of Special Order pursuant to Section 716B of the Local Government Act 1974 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 to raise the above loan. The Special Order will be submitted for a confirming resolution at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Huia Street, Taumarunui, on Friday 31 May 1996 commencing at 1.00 pm. • The purport of the Special Order resolution is to raise and make I provision for repayment of the loan which is for increasing the : Shareholding ot the holding company to enable it to purchase Ruapehu Construction Limited from Council. Attention is drawn to Section 34A of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 which provides that any person shall be entitled to sign a demand for a poll of ratepayers it that person is enrolled on the ratepayer electoral roll or is a person whose name appears in the occupiers column of the valuation roll. No demand for a poll of ratepayers under Section 34(2) (b) of this Act shall be ot any effect unless the number of valid signatures to the demand is equal to or greater than 15% of the number of the separately rateable properties on the valuation roll that are within the District. Every person who signs a demand tor a poll of ratepayers under this section shall state against the signature the person's name and the address in respect of which that person is entitled to sign the demand.
