Waiouru
• Army experts dealt with a suspicious parcel that arrived at the army camp last week. The parcel that smelt strongly was x-rayed by staff, who discovered it contained a dead mouse. • Police attended two non-injury motor vehicle accidents last week and both drivers were warned for careless use. One involved a logging truck bound for the Tangiwai Mill, whose trailer load of logs slipped. • Waiouru Police attended three fights in and around the township over the past week. No arrests were made and no injury resulted. • A Swatch watch was recovered on the Waiouru Golf Course on Saturday. The owner is asked to contact the Waiouru Police to claim it.
