Ruapehu Under 21's

Ruapehu U21's played Kaierau at the racecourse in Wanganui on Saturday and won by 3 1 - 3 after leading 7 - 0 at half time. The team played badly in the first half and could not finish off any attacking moves. After Kaierau scored a penalty in the 7th minute of the second half, Ruapehu moved up a gear and touched down four second half tries to race away with the game. Right winger Craig Pye scored four tries and Mario Marekura one, with Chris Winter converting three. One high point so far this season for the boys is that they have not had their line crossed yet and they only points against them have been four penalties. Ruapehu will now travel to Hunterville to play against a very strong Rangitikei side this Saturday. Ruapehu coach had 24 players stripped on Saturday and awarded Player of the Day to the nine reserves.
