Waiouru weather for April fluctuated markedly with unseasonally warm periods. The high of 21°C was recorded on 13 April and this was followed by fiveconsecutivedaysof 18° and 19° accompanied by overnight lows that stayed in double figures. The coldest day clocked in on 22 April with 7.6° while the overnight low of -1° was recorded on 8 and 25 April. Only four frosts were recorded with the most severe registering a grass temperature of -5°C. Rainfall was recorded at 143.9mm.
