At a recent Saturday social evening and dinner for members of the Ohakune and W aimarino (Raetihi) branches of the RSA at the Ohakune Club, Ian Stewart, speaking on behalf of the Waimarino branch, expressed his regrets that one of the ladies who had come over from Raetihi expecting to see a men' s strip show would be disappointed. From the rear of the room came a loud, reassuring voice (unmistakably that of Ron Walkley): "Not a problem"!
