Aussie avalanche may follow eruption
Expect to see more Australians on the slopes this year. That' s according to Whakapapa marketing manager, Scott Lee, who recently returned from a saies trip through Queensland where he says the interest in North Island skiing has grown substantially. He estimates that he spoke to over 600 travel agents during his visit. Scott said that as well as skiers coming for a ski holiday there was a lot of interest in two or three days' "snow experience" as part of a week to 10-day North Island winter holiday ;
