Waimarino Darts
On Sunday 3 1 March Waimarino club hosted the first of five Annual Bowater Trophy games. An excellent turn out of 80 players attended and as usual there were some very high standards of play during the day. The winners were South Waikato (Tokoroa) with 92 points; second were x Taumarunui and Te Kuiti with 84; then Waimarino 75 points and Te Awamutu 62. A special thank you was
expressed to the club ladies Kathryn Most, Tina Wallace and Cilla Brooks who ran the kitchen and kept all the kai and tea hot. Wednesday 3 April a small crowd of eight turned out for a singles night. Stephen Wallace was the winner with seven of seven wins, runners up were Lou Most, Fatty Hiroti, Arvell Wallace and Kaylene Crossan all with four wins. Highest start for the evening was Stephen with 140. High score was Arvell with 180 and Fatty scored 130 for the high finish.
