country over e as years. . In memory of these brave men and women, we have built a Greenstone Wall at the entrance of the Museum. It is continuously intoned with their names, along with the sound of running water, within the space formed by the Memorial Wall. Included in the names are those from the Airforce, Navy and Merchant Marine, as recognition of the great contribution that the other services made to the N.Z. Army through the years. Greenstone or Pounamu was chosen as it has very special significance to both Pakeha and Maori, and represents Life, Death and the Environment. The 'Tears on Greenstone' Wall is uniquely New Zealand in it's design and concept. Be part of New Zealand's history today, visit the Queen Elizabeth II Army Memorial Museum, Waiouru.
