Pupils from Forms 1 & 2 from Ohakune Primary School spent a day on Turoa's ski fields last week. It was a snowless trip, with the aim being to take part in the annual clean up, in return for cheaper ski passes once the snow does arrive. About 50 pupils, parents and teachers took part in the clean-up that started at 11am at the top of the Giant Chairlift and finished at the carpark at 2pm. It was probably not surprising to find lots of broken ski poles and several very out of date ski passes.
