Driver wanted

• On Friday evening police observed a vehicle being driven dangerously. It was pursued around several streets in Raetihi, finally stopping in Balance Street. The driver decamped and ran to an address in Duncan street. He was chased by a police officer who forced entry into the house and arrested the driver. Despite being handcuffed the driver, Adrian Michael Brown, aged 19, managed to decamp again and was last seen heading down Duncan Street. He is now wanted for escaping custody and also for failing to appear at Court. Anyone knowing his whereabouts should contact the police immediately and Police warn anyone helping him that they may also be committing a criminal offence. • At the beginning of last week a Holden Kingswood ute registration IM 27 1 5 was stolen from an address in George Street, Raetihi. The vehicle is lime green and has a black roll bar. To date the vehicle has not been recovered. • Also a green Mark 3 Cortina was located stripped at the southern end of Ohakune. It has no registration plates on it. Enquiries to locate the owner are eontinuing and police would welcome any information regarding this vehicle. • In the early hours of Saturday morning a small window was smashed on the northern corner of the Powderkeg.
