Remanded for a further month

Colin Barry Phillips, 40, bushman of Raetihi, faced three charges when he appeared again last Thursday after being remanded without plea on one of these charges from the previous month. On the earlier charge of assaulting Trevor John Dickson, proprietor of the Ruapehu Hotel in Raetihi using a bar stool as a weapon, he pleaded guilty. On the two more recent charges of causing intentional damage to a Mitsubishi ute and assaulting the owner of the vehicle he pleaded not guilty. He was remanded on bail to appear on 28 March on-all three charges, the first for a probation officers report and sentence and the other two charges for a defended hearing. Counsel: Paul Brown. More court next week
