Trust the bank

• I read in the Bulletin, 27 February 1996, thanks to all those that helped make the "Mashed Murphy" rally a success. I'm sure many of us in Ohakune do not know what a "Mashed Murphy" rally is. I note assistance from Trustbank. I have a letter dated 1 6 September 1994 from Trustbank regretting to inform the school centennial jubilee committee that our application for a community grant was not successful. The Trustbank was the only business in our fund raising for the jubilee to turn down a request for funds. Perhaps the ex-pupils were not "mature, older, elderly and infirm" enough.

Ron

Walkley,

fundine co-ordinator jubilee committee
