PUBLIC NOTICES Tongariro Forest Annual Goat Hunting Compelition Sunday 25 February This annual hunt is organised by the Taumarunui Rod, Rifle and Gun Club in conjunction with the Department of Conservation. Start time is 7am Sunday 25 February at the Owhango Football Club Hall. Hunting permits will be issued and areas allocated from the hall. The hunt finishes at 3pm with prize giving and a barbecue at the hall at 4pm. Prizes, sponsored by DoC will be awarded for the biggest head and biggest tally as well as a variety of spot prizes.
