Ohakune badminton

Two Ruapehu College Ohakune Junior (under 16) girls, Donna Cranston and Eileen Voon, have been named in the New Zealand Central Districts team to play in Sydney in eight week's time. They are one of three teams from New Zealand sent to Australia to compete for the June Bevan Trophy against 10 Austral-

ian state teams. A spokesperson said the elub is very proud of the girls, who have worked hard towards achieving their goals and are setting a high standard for the many juniors who are following. A total of $3,000 is needed to finance the trip.
