Waiouru weather

Waiouru had a mixed bag of weather throughout January including a fi ve day cold patch towards the end of the month. A high of only 11.5 degrees Celsius was recorded on 26 January resulting in many Waiouru fires being lit for the first time this year. The overnight low of 5.2 degrees was also recorded on the 26th. The high of 22.5 degrees was recorded on 5 January and overnight lows around this period sat at around 13 degrees. Rainfall for the month totalled 116.4 millimetres with 29.5mm falling on 9 January and 20.4mm on lOJanuary.
