Ph 385-8103 PUBLIC MARKETING SUBCOMMITTEE Vacancy Due to the vacancy left by Major RichardTaylor of the Waiouru Army Museum, the Council has a vacancy for someone interested in being a representative on the Council's Marketing Subcommittee. The Marketing Subcommittee is responsible for formulating annual planning submissions of a marketing nature to Council ana overseeing the implementation of those parts of the Council s Annual Plan that relate to marketing, developmentand public information services. The Subcommittee also provides general advice to Council on marketing matters. Applicants eligible for nominations require experience and skills in either the adventure tourism, accommodation, retaii or business development sectors. Applicants are required to obtain and complete a standard application form available from the Council's Huia Street Office, Taumarunui or the Ohakune Service Centre, Miro Street, Ohakune. The application forms and supporting details should be submitted to the Chief Executive no later than 4.00pm 1 6 February 1996. APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERTO COUNCIL The public are advised thatpursuant to Section I0IZD a demand for an election to fill the vacancy created in th e Tau maru n u i Ward due to the resignation of Mr Mark Ebrey was r-eceived. The demand was unsuccessful due to being signed by less than the required number of qualified electors. Therefore Notice is hereby given that at the meeting of Council held on Friday 1 5 December 1 995 it was resolved pursuant to Section I0IZC of the Local Government Act 1974 to appoint Mr Kevin Amohia the highest polling unsuccessful candidate in the Triennial Election as an elected Member of Council.
