New accountancy firm buys

Ohakune practice

ADVERTORIAL

A new full time accountancy practice has begun operations in Ohakune. Sewell and Wilson, chartered accountants of Wanganui, who are members of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, have purchased both the existing business and building of the late Miss Goldfinch. "By purchasing the building we have made an investment in the future of the Waimarino and will protect that through our presence in the community," states the firm's senior partner Michael Sewell. In making the decision to sell Miss Goldfinch's business, the family feel they have been fortunate to find a partnership which will continue with her special style - that of being a friend as well as an advisor, stated Mr Sewell. The initial plans include an upgrade of the Ohakune office and installation of computer

facilities. The office will initially be staffed from their Wanganui base, with permanent staffing arrangements to be made after the practice has settled in. Sewell & Wilson have four partners, Michael Sewell, Russell Sears, Douglas Wilson and Stephen Lace and are assisted by a well trained and enthusiastic staff currently numbering 11. They aim to provide the same high quality personal service in their Waimarino office, as they have maintained for over 30 years in Wanganui. They have a depth of experience in a full range of farm and business accounting and advisory services,. are available to assist with taxation matters big or small, and to undertake auditing and insolvency engagements. "We look forward to meeting with and assisting the people of the Waimarino and welcome enquiries," said managing partner Douglas Wilson.
