Raetihi sale

Last week's Raetihi sheep sale saw good results, which compared well with Fordell' s sale held a few days previously. Two-toothed wethers fetched between $35.60 and $39.10. Special advertised lines from Kopia Station, of shorn ram lambs, sold extremely well as did those from the Ruatiti Station. Stock agents report that there is a good strong market at the moment, with good lambs selling from between $24.00 and $28.40. Medium lambs fetched between $20.00 and $24.00 with small lambs selling from $15.00 to $20.00. Overall it was a strong sale, with buyers from Wanganui, Feilding and the Hawkes Bay operating amongst local buyers from the Waimarino.
