BNZ defends 'merger'
BNZ representative Ross Gernhoefer says bank customers are now looking for "new levels of service which are more convenient, responsive, accessible and flexible", in a press release which described the closure of the Raetihi branch as a merger of the agency and the Ohakune branch. All Raetihi staff are transferring to Ohakune, along with all records and account details^ on 29 December.
