Raetihi BNZ to close
Raetihi 's Bank of New Zealand agency is to close on Friday 29 December. BNZ corporate relations manager Mary McNamara told the Bulletin that with the introduction Of more convenience services and technological advances, the need for a branch just 10 kilometres from a major branch (at Ohakune) was lessened.
She described convenience services as being 24-hour telephone banking, money machines and EFTPOS (available at a numberof Raetihi stores). She said the area is served by a team of six mobile managers, three focused on the rural sector, and a mobile investment advisor is also to serve the area.
