Brilliant weather, excellent attendance from the Raetihi Ohakune and Kaitieke Pony clubs together with the support of parents and many spectators were the ingredients for a successful Waimarino games morning combined with the King Country games afternoon held on Saturday 18 November at the Raetihi show grounds. During the Waimarino games morning the second trial was held for the Raetihi and Ohakune Pony clubs for each club to pick their team to represent their branch at the Golden Games to be held in Waiouru on the 5, 6 and 7 January 1 996, which the King Country Association will be hosting.
