On Sunday 12 November the Waimarino Golf Club had its official closing day with the annual President's v's Captain's team match play event which was sponsored by High Country, Brokers and Nightlife Shuttles. Marsh, as a man of "whew" words made a "short" speech of thanks to his team at the presentation ceremony where the team representati ve, Glenn Ennis, 25 handicap, who had earlier in the day beaten the club high flier, Gary Creedy who is on a 3, was presented with the shield by Club president John Hammond.
