Property company a growing concern

From humble beginnings Challenge Realty has grown from a lone Alan Inglis working from home in the middle of 1994, to a large central Ohakune office employing four Saies Agents and two office staff. The latest expansion for this busy team will see them include properties in the Taihape region. The newest arrival to the office is Ian Hopkirk as a Rural Saies Consultant. Ian's roots are in the Kaitieke area around Taumarunui, although he was educated at Palmerston North Boys High School before going on to complete a Diploma of Agriculture from Lincoln Universi'ty in 1977. He has run an 800 acre farm for the past 15 years, along with a shearing contracting business, which saw him travel all over the world as well as throughout New Zealand. He feels this experience will hold him in good steed to provide quality service to the rural community. A keen sports man, Ian has played club rugby for many years and also hopes to become involved with the Waimarino service

clubs. Ian will be working directly with Peter Feickert, who is now the Rural Saies Manager for the Challenge office in Ohakune. Peter has recently joined the team from a Palmerston North based estate agency for who he was a saies consultant based out of his Raetihi home. Peter also has an extensive farming background, having farmed in the Parapara region for the past 28 years, and holding the Certificate in Farm Management. Outside the office heenjoys fishing and claims to know all the best spots within the Waimarino and Rangitikei. He has represented New Zealand in the sport of Polo Crosse (a combination of Polo and Lacrosse). Both Peter and Ian are available 24 hours a day to anyone interested in buying a farm of a lifestyle block and are happy to travel to you to discuss your requirements in person. The owner of Challenge Ruapehu Realty Limited is Terry Podmore, who has in 6 short years expanded his operation to include offices in Taumarunui, Ohakune,

Turangi and Napier. As well as being primarily involved with the ongoing staff training and marketing, Terry is the licensed auctioneer of the Waimarino. A position which is increasingly busy as many of their customers are opting for this newly popular way of selling properties. Challenge Realty has more than 55 rural saies offices throughout New Zealand and statistics show that their share of the market has increased significantly over the past 12 months. If you require any real estate advise, being rural or urban, there is an expert waiting to help you at Challenge Ruapehu Realty in Ohakune.
