MWRC general manager resigns
The Manawatu-Wan-ganui Regional Council of which the Ruapehu District Council is a part, will be losing its general manager, Reg Barrett, when he re-
signs early next year to take up an appointment as director of the Land Transport Authority based in Wellington. The announcement of Mr
Barrett' s forthcoming resignation on 14 January was made by Don Linklater, chairman of the ManawatuWanganui Regional Council last Tuesday.
