Special licence for Christmas/New Year
As Christmas Eve and New Years Eve fall on a Sunday this year the Ruapehu District Council has formulated a policy regarding the issue of special (liquor) licences so-that some guidance may be given to prospective applicants in the Waimarino This Council will con-
sider applications if an applicant is in fact creating a special occasion and not just using the special licence provisions to extend their trading hours. It is important to put enough detail into the application to convince the Agency that a special function is being held.
All applications must be lodged no later than 15 November 1995 and no special licence will be issued outside the following hours:•Beyond midnight on Christmas Eve "Beyond 2am on News Y ears Eve *more than eight hours total on either day.
