Waiouru Kindergartens get a good run
Keningston and Weir Terrace kindergartens in W aiouru have been getting a good run out of the Senior Noncommissioned officer promotion courses over the past year. Since a re-vamp of the course at the beginning of the year a planning phase involving some sort of community work is required from the students. Soldiers plan and then carry out tasks varying from pouring concrete to building fences and tyre walls and would you believe baking cakes. Nearly one hundred dollars was raised recently from such a bake-out and the money was evenly distributed between the two kindergartens. Keningston Kindergarten treasurer Diane Tews said their share of the money will probably be spent on puzzles while Weir Terrace Kindergarten secretary Deborah Rings said a use for their share was yet to be decided.
