First meeting for National Park's new board

At the National Park Community Board's inaugural meeting in Taumarunui last Wednesday the newly elected members were sworn in and appointments made. Ruapehu District councillor EddieTurley was re-appointed chairman and board member Pat Coogan was re-appointed deputy chairman. Other members of the board are Stephen Mastrovitch (who is also a

RDC councillor), Michael Petersen, June Matheson, Tony Parker and Warren Furner. The next meeting of the board will be on Wednesday 29 November in Taumarunui at 2pm when the fiiture meeting schedule for the board will be decided. Meetings of the National Park Community Board usually rotate between Taumarunui, Katieke, Owhango and National Park.
