Motocross
Several Waimarino riders attended the Labour Weekend Extravaganza at Taupo. Local rider Shaun Fredricksen rode three races with 30 top New Zealand Junior 123cc riders plus Australian champion
(number two in New South Wales) Chad Reid. After a very close day' s racingReid took the title from Fredricksen by one point, putting him into second position. The next major event on the calendar for motocross is the North Island Champs in November.
