Loads of rubbish

• Given that Ohakune' s economy is partially tourismbased itis disturbing that we are still disposing of all sorts of rubbish in a highly unacceptable standard. Unfortunately recycling would have a cost at this stage but it would at least suggest to outsiders that we are making an effort. The large businesses and industries in the area are the biggest dumpers and they are also more financially able to help fund recycling bins (also good PR). Possibly the council garden centre could look at investing in a mulcher to provide compost/mulch. It is about time some long term actions were implemented to counter this age-old problem.
