Ohakune school centennial fast approaching
As everyone knows by now, the Ohakune Primary School and District High School Centennial is fast approaching. How can you be sure to be there? Register now, for the closing date is 23 October. The weekend of 2-3 February has been filled with activity for all past pupils, teachers and associates of the school. While the main theme of any centennial is a celebration of the past, catching up with old mates and generally having a fun time are the things most people are looking for. Well, look no further! Events are well organised and endless enjoyment is guaranteed. A huge parade organised by
the Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade Inc will start Saturday's celebrations off - no doubt with a hiss and a roar! Activities then move to the school grounds - hundreds of people will be re-intro-duced, photographed, videoed, hand-shaken, talked to and laughed with. Speeches will be made, meals will be eaten, singing will be heard, drinks will be drunk and music will be played. If this sounds at all like you, please register now for the Ohakune Primary School and District High School Centennial and be at the biggest event in the school' s history. Registrations can be made to 13 Foyle Street, Ohakune. Forms are available almost every where.
