Tots' talents tested
Performing in front of people requires a certain amount of nerve and even more if you're only five or six years old. Amie Vine and Patricia Thomas of Waiouru Primary School organised a talent quest, complete with prizes for children in the junior department recently. Thirty five tots told jokes, danced, sang, played the piano and performed magic. All entrants were treated to lollies sponsored by Pricecutter. Out of the 10 the top three acts were judged. Third prize went to Christina Webb on piano. Second prize went to Samantha Raines and Natasha Eagle with a ballet r performance while Jesse August's 'Bananas in Pyjamas' song was voted best by the judges. Collective Thinking sponsored gift vouchers for the place-getters and the other seven finalists will each get a certificate, Miss Vine said.
