On Sunday the second round of the mens club championships were held in order to find the finalists in each of the four grades. Any of the semi-finalists would have been worthy of playing in the finals but as with most competi- I tions there can only be one winner. Results seniors: T Fredrick Jnr def J Ennis; J Corbett def I W Marsh. Intermediates: J Hammond def D Windle; P I Goldfinch def T Geraghty. Juniors: C Heinold def A I Murdie snr; G Lind def G Wallace. Junior B : J Whale and I J Martin were both promoted through on byes. A normal Sunday haggle was also run and both the mens I and ladies handicappers will have some work to do during I the week. Results Ladies: First winning the meat pack and I the roarers mug F Wise on 47 points; 2 N Winter 39; 3 L I Drinkwater 38. Juniors: 1 G Lind 44; 2 M Hays 38; 3 G I Ennis 37; 4 A Hinana 37. Seniors: 1 S McGee 39; 2 A I Condon 37; 3 T Fredrick Jnr 37; 4 J Ennis & B Drinkwater I 36. The lucky number draw was struck again, T Fredrick I Jnr. This weeks bar duty is B Henry.
