More grooming
Whakapapa's grooming crew are ti with their new toy, a $300,000 Kassbi 330 snowgroomer. The machine, which is the largest i Kassbohrer's fleet, is nearly 50% mon powerful than other groomers and is c of pushing more than twice the snow load. As a result Whakapapa's other four dedicated groomers are spending more time grooming the trails. Because of the excellent snow cover, the main trails are much wider and smoother, but in addition to the main trails the grooming crew are able to groom in areas that have previously been considered off-piste. New trails this year include: Stebbings: above the West Ridge Quad and accessible from Twin Rocks Traverse; Angus's Face: to the skiers left of Yankee Slalom; Haensli Face: above the Waterfall T-Bar. Get out there and enjoy it!
