Turoa pledges to let you try the weather

Ruapehu creates its own weather as many people know well, and it's hard to know if its worth investing in a day pass even looking from the car park. Now Day Pass holders don't have to gamble with the weather. At Turoa you can try the slopes for yourself and, if you don't like the conditions, you can get a refund on the lift component of your ticket, by returning your Day Pass to the ticket window within one hour of the purchase time printed on the ticket. Anytime Pass holders are looked after as well, says Turoa marketing manager

Joanna Savage. If you have had your Anytime Pass clipped for that day, provided you return to the Information Centre with your pass by 10am, you can get a credit for another day, to be used during the 1995 winter season. If Turoa has to close all lifts before 12 noon, All Day and Anytime Pass holders, who have used their pass that day will be entitled to a credit for another day, to be used during the 1995 winter season. "We can't control the weather but we are doing our best to help you to enjoy your time at Turoa," says marketing manager Joanna Savage, "See you on the slopes!"
