On Sunday 27 August the first knockout round of the mens club championships was held in near-perfect winter conditions. Results senior: T Fredrick Jnr def A Condon; J Corbett def A Murdie Jnr; W Marsh def G Imhoff; J Ennis def B Drinkwater. Intermediates: P Goldfinch defNLietz;T Geraghty def D Blackburn; D Windle def B Henry; J Hammond def S McGee. Juniors: G Wallace def M Hays. Ladies: 1st S Lind; 2 G Fraser; 3 F Wise. Last week two of the club' s top secondary school players, Sarah Lind and Andrew Murdie, travelled to rep tournaments.
