Waimarino Squash Tournament sees good number of entries

20. August 1995 The Waimarino Squash Club had a strong number of entries for it's C. grade tournament and this year competitors came fromTurangi, Wanganui, Whakatane, Ohakune and of course Raetihi its self. There were some good final rounds on the Sunday, (the final day of the three day tournament,) with some nail biting moments before the end results were known. Saturday evening the club put on a disco and dinner, the late night or early morning may have seen some competitors play their game in a somewhat sluggish style, however they managed to see the games through. Turangi Squash club have a tournament coming up and their members extended an invitation to Raetihi players and no doubt some will take them up on that invite.
