No room at the inn? Then dig in!
Taking advantage of a good dump ofsnow on the Grand Chateau golfcourse last week were this group of Outdoor Pursuits Centre "Adventure Challenge Course" instructors and participants. As Ruapehu was unwelcoming at the time and there was plenty to shovel down low, the group chose to build igloos on the golf course. Despite the icebox look, they vowed the shelters were in fact quite comfortable, getting up to as high as inside while it was way below zero outside. Pictured are, from left, Kelly Gordon and Nigel Sutherland ofOPC, Tracy Perry and Leigh Fairbrother from Hastings ' Karamu High School, and Julie Brass and Mark Jones from OPC.
