Ohakune badminton
On 7 August the badminton club ran its Primary Standard Four to Form Two badminton championships with the following results: Girls singles - champion EmaBates; mnner-up Vicki Cranston; plate winner Nolana Marsh; plate run-ner-up Cassie Nation. Boys singles - champion Dwayne Marsh; runner-up Neil Shanks; plate winner Ben McMaster; plate runner-up Brad Hays. Girls doubles winners Ema Bates and Rebecca Line. Boys doubles winners Dwayne Marsh and Brad Hays. Players of the night were Ben McMaster and Vicki
Cranston who may not have won but played to the best of their ability. Other participants who played well also but were unplaced were Kirsty Litt, Cory Saunders and Virginia Morris. Prize giving and final wind-up will be later in the year. AlljuniorsUnder 12, 14, 16, and 18 are invited to play in the Wanganui residentials on 19 August.
