PUBLIC SUBMISSIONS TO 1996/97 ANNUAL PLAN The Council is now starting the process of compiling next year's Plan. The purpose of the Annual Plan is to inform the public of the Council's proposed major objectives, policies, work and financial plans. The first part of the process is the calling of public submissions to Community Boards and the Taumarunui Ward Committee on the need for works and projects ( and the funding of them) within their respective wards and the Boards finalisation of submissions to the Council on the issues raised. Submissions are now invited from the public on these issues. These submissions will be considered by the appropriate Community Board and are to be incorporated in Council's Annual Planning process for 1 996/97. Every Person or organisation making a submission will have the opportunity to present it at a meeting if they wish to do so.
