Waimarino Health Centre manager Rowena Kui has provided the following information regarding the new unit: • The new unit will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week as required, otherwise 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. • Nursing staff will be available to come into the unit when clients are admitted. Services provided at the new centre: • In-patient services: Five beds — three maternity and two general medical. Nursing staff will provide care for both general and maternity inpatients, assist with specialist clinics and attend to outpatients who require ECG examination.
