ADVERTISEMENT - June's Tune Mayoral candidate June Baker - the only North member who regularly attends Waimarino Community Board meetings is to make a weekly contribution to the Bulletin.: North and South 'The North and South members of the District Council deal with similar council issues. Taumarunui people sometimes see Waimarino and Waiouru areas as "different". The South too compare and contrast their towns and roads with those of National Park or Taumarunui. In matters such as promotion and services we have much in common. Winning Waimarino programmes, working well in Raetihi and Ohakune, have given greaffhcouragement to the Mainstreet schemes in Taumarunui. Waiouru's road, footpath and traffic problems are certainly reflected in National Park and Taumarunui. Another interest that is shared by both North and South is the enthusiasm for track and rail.
